A beautiful desk designed by Hans J. Wegner for Getama, Denmark, in 1970. This two-drawer desk was originally designed for a Danish school and was later also sold for private use. It features a beautiful, clean-lined design with floating drawers and a subtly raised top. The desk is crafted from beech wood and is a very well-crafted mid-century piece from Denmark. The desk is in good original condition with normal signs of age and wear.
The standard version featured a veneered tabletop, as shown in the enclosed brochure, but it was also produced with a laminate tabletop for a school so that the tabletop could better withstand daily wear and tear.
